Putnam Tile Puzzle SVG

A packing problem (or puzzle) in Geometry derived from the 2016 Putnam problem A4 and made in Inkscape. Designed to be used on a PC and/or projected onto a SMART Board with movable touch pieces. This is an engaging, hands-on activity that encourages critical thinking and working with rigid motions.

Problem. Tile the grid board with the given pieces.

What's Included

• An SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) file for the tile puzzle

*Solution to this puzzle is contained in the book Learning Isn't Linear.

What's Needed?

• A personal computer with Windows, macOS, or Linux
• Must download the free vector graphics program Inkscape
• In order to move the pieces, the file must be opened in Inkscape

*As of now, Inkscape does not have an app for the Chromebook.
**There are other editors you could use, such as Adobe Illustrator, but Inkscape is free and open source.
